Five Canals in Tooth #30

Name: Dr. Diogo Guerreiro
Instrument: ProTaper Next
School: University of Michigan

The patient was a seventeen-year-old male with a pulpal diagnosis of irreversible symptomatic pulpitis and normal periapical tissues on tooth #30. Previous restorative composite work was showing occlusal decay. The tooth had pulp chamber calcification and hard to negotiate canals. Five canal orifices were identified; exploration was conducted with #8 and #10 K-files. Glide paths were established with PathFile rotary glide path files and shaping was performed with ProTaper Next rotary files.
